Dennis L. Duffield, P.E. formed the company in 2011 after 32 years managing water and wastewater systems and 4 years as a consulting engineer.
One of the first projects for the company was determining the safety of stored water treatment residuals at a radium removal plant. This project led to the development of capabilities to measure radiation and monitor radon.
In 2016, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency started discussions of regulations for radioactive materials in water treatment plants. Based on the regulatory proposal, the company developed expertise in radiation safety and radon monitoring. Mr. Duffield became a licensed radon measurement professional in 2017.
Since 2017, radiation safety in water treatment plants has become the primary activity of the company.
Mr. Duffield is the project manager of all projects. He is a trained radiation safety officer and qualified to assist utilities with the development of their radiation safety programs. Mr. Duffield, P.E. is a licensed radon measurement professional in Illinois qualified to perform radon measurements in water treatment plants
